Alissa is a native of Norman, OK who graduated from Norman North High School. She went on to earn an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma, and she continued her education with a Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.


During law school, Alissa was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and she interned with the insurance defense firm Steidley & Neal in Tulsa, as well with Durbin, Larimore & Bialick in Oklahoma City. In her third year of law school, she became a licensed legal intern with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office. During her work with the DA, she participated in multiple jury trials. She earned the prestigious Cali Award of Excellence in the area of trial practice and advocacy.


Following graduation, Alissa joined the McClain County District Attorney's Office and the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor. She handled hundreds of criminal and family cases, as well as many jury trials. To support her interest in jury trials, she attended several rigorous training trial technique courses at the College of District Attorneys in Georgia and trial advocacy training in the state of Oklahoma.

In 2009, Alissa opened the Norman branch of Hutter Law Offices.
